Filmy Nasha :: Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl Review
Ladies vs Ricky Bahl begins on a brilliant note, and it breezes through the first half however the movie suffers from cliches as the story and character of Ranveer Singh gets predictable. You can also see shades of Hollywood Movie “John Tucker Must Die” as three girls plot their revenge. The best thing about the movie is definitely Anushka Sharma, you would simply love her. The movie begins with Ricky conning Dimple from Delhi, Raina from Mumbai (Dipannita Sharma), and Saira from Lucknow (Aditi Sharma). The three then plan to Con the conman aka Ricky, they then hire Ishika(Anushka Sharma) a smart sales girl to trap the conman. Thus began the game of con vs con as Ishika poses as the daughter of a Rich NRI whoes here to invest in property. However all good things come to an end and director Maneesh Sharma decides to put in a love angle in a Con story. So the pace of the movie drops in the second half and with routine song and dance sequences it becomes an average affair .
Newcomer Parineeti Chopra as Dimple chadda shines in her role and would put a smile on your face every time you see her onscreen. She’s both adorable and cute as the blabbermouth dilli ki ladki and pretty consistent in the otherwise inconsistent film. Anushka looks fabolousin her role, Dipanita is confident and Ranveer passes off as different characters with ease however doesn’t excel as he did in Band Baja Baraat .
Our Verdict : The film is definitely a one time watch because it has a gripping story and a good story telling and that’s all you could ask from a Bollywood Masala Movie.
