Don 2 is a sequel to Don: the Chase begins which released in 2006. Don: the Chase begins suffered from borrowing heavily from its original scripted Don, however thanks to Farhan Akhtar and SRK it was a success at Box office. Same can be said for Don 2, as it borrows heavily from Hollywood flick Ocean Eleven and Mission Impossible. However again Farhan and SRK have managed to make a decent entertaining flick which would obviously be successful commercially. Don 2 is stylish, sleek and has got mind blowing Action sequences thanks to its International action director Wolfgang Stegemann.


Don 2 is a fresh attempt to retell the story of Don’s adventures. The script is simple yet its only in last few minutes the mystery unfolds as in whats Don upto. The film begins with Don being shown as a drug mafia in Thailand. He surrenders to the police and Roma(Priyanka chopra) and is then sent to a malaysian jail where he meets Vardhan. Together he and Vardhan escape from the Jail and land up in Berlin. Don then forms a team ( reminds us of Ocean Eleven) to rob currency note printing plates from a German Bank.

Piyanka chopra has just one action scene in which she impress apart from that she doesn’t get much to do. Om puri again have only got a few lines. Boman Irani tries to look menacing as Vardhan and succeeds. Kunal kapoor as the hacker is just ok. Shahrukh carries the whole film on his shoulders and you can see him in his evil mannerism and he indeed excels in his negative role in Don 2. The script sometime seems like a drag but action sequences make up for the lost pace. Well for fan of Don there is good news the badshah might be back with Don 3.


Filmy Nasha Verdict : Don 2 ko superhit hone se rokna mushkil hi nahi namumkin hain. Go watch Don 2 for some mindblowing action sequences and Donnism from SRK.
