Agent Vinod Movie Review

A series of seemingly unconnected events across the world leads to Agent Vinod undertaking a globe-trotting mission to discover why his colleague was murdered.

Agent Vinod, an Indian James Bond film produced by and starred by Saif Ali Khan, is not so out-of-the-ordinary if we compare it with other spy thrillers produced in Bollywood. Sriram Raghavan, the director of Agent Vinod, has tried to make a film that looks like a serious nail biting out-of-the-age Hollywood spy drama but sometimes has just exposed as a pirated story teller, copied from an old detective fictions.

Pritam has produced an excellent music. The Raabta and Rasputin songs are soothing to ears and also the Pungi. The mujra was added to appease the masses who want to have a peak of Kareena’s curves, who played a Pakistani victim, looked sensational in every scene. The audience will compromise the acting of Saif Ali with the stylized sequences, the action baked cinematography, and the fabulous editing. In theater one can sense a lack of emotional or physical connection midst the protagonist and fabulous ladies that have became an integral part of spy thrillers. Even the chemistry between Saif and Kareena’s was missing. The movies lacks pace before the interval as was mostly concerned about searching the meaning of 242. The climax is too protracted and unconventional.

Agent Vinod overall is a good effort and one-time watch if you love thrillers and Kareena.
